Murray Blvd from Hwy 26 to Cornell Road & Cornell from 173rd to Science Park Dr.
This project has been combined with the Cornell Road/143rd to Science Park Drive project. All together the project cost will be $13 million. Funding comes from MSTIP 3b/3c, State Economic Development Grant and Traffic Impact Fees (TIF). The project will reconstruct the intersection at Cornell Rd / Murray and will widen Murray Boulevard north of Highway 26 (Sunset Highway) to four lanes, with turn lanes, bike lanes, sidewalks, and landscaping. Turn lanes will also be added to Cornell Road including a new traffic signal at Cornell/Science Park Dr. Bike lanes, sidewalks, illumination and landscaping will be included.
PGE and Verizon work continues. The contractor is grading and pouring sidewalks on Cornell, west of Murray. The new signal at Science Park and Murray is activated. The camera's at Science parkway will be installed and activated the week of the 29th.
Murray Blvd and Cornell Road will have long delays at the intersection beginning July 22 through August 1, 2009. The contractor is bringing the road to grade and preparing for base lift paving. The delays may be up to 20 minutes. The public is encouraged to use alternate routes.
Traffic is restricted to two lanes between Hwy 26 and NW Science Park and NW Cornell. Restrictions to three lanes from NW Science Park to NW Cornell from 9: am to 3:30 pm.
Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program (MSTIP 3b & 3c). Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD) is providing funding for the waterline improvements.
